Coded Welder

Working for a well established distributor of Industrial boilers, my client is seeking to employ an experienced Coded Welder as part of their expansion. The role is based in the West Midlands and will require travel to client sites across the UK using a company vehicle.

The main focus of the role is to carry out repairs to industrial steam boilers at our customer sites throughout the UK. There will be a requirement to work away as and when advised to meet customer needs.

The candidate will need to have a good level of engineering skills and coded welding experience to 6G preferable.

Welding is predominately carbon steel MMA using low hydrogen electrodes and ideally

previous experience working within the boiler industry.

Daily duties of the role will be:

• Retubing of boilers
• Cutting out and completing D-patch repairs
• Tube plate replacement
• Coded welding of pipework / vessels
• Ensuring all activities are performed safely and accurately in accordance with all relevant legislation,
• policies and company guidelines.
• Complete all paperwork and system-based records accurately and in a timely manner
• Assist in the development of other team members by sharing knowledge and expertise
• Communicate with customers and inspectors as and when required

Must have excellent communications skills and can use their own initiative to work

without constant supervision and hold a full clean UK driving licence and have a minimum of 2 years’experience in a commercial and industrial background.
