Ferry Operator

A Ferry Operator is required for an ongoing temporary position based inWindermere,Cumbria. The position will be part time but shifts will vary week to week so applicants must be flexible regarding working hours as the shifts can include evenings, weekends & Bank Holidays. The job role includes:

Operating the ferry used for the transportation of vehicles and customers
Taking cash payments from Customers
Ensuring the health and safety standards set by the organisation as adhered to at all times
Reporting into the Ferry Service Manager
Assisting with the training of new staff when neededThe successful candidate will:

Hold a full driving licence
Have excellent communication skills, ideally with experience of working in a customer facing role previously
Previous experience of working on a ferry service is preferable but not essential as full training will be given. to avoid disappointment.
