Network Engineer (Cisco 2nd Line)
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Network Engineer (Cisco 2nd Line) to work for a Cisco Gold Partner based in Orpington. This role has been signed off due to the client bringing there operations department in house and now are seeking to strengthen it with a talented Network Engineer (Cisco 2nd Line).
You will be involved heavily in the monitoring of a global network and ensuring the smooth operation of all functions using remedy to raise and deal with any outstanding tickets that are escalated from the 1st line function. The client in question operations operates with internationally recognised customers therefore incidents could range from troubleshooting Ethernet connectivity and resolving edge router and switch issues through to working with the project teams in delivering complex firewalls solutions using Juniper SRX and Checkpoint.
In order to be successful with this position you will be familiar with working in a customer facing environment resolving technical issues at 2nd to 3rd line level on technology that includes Ethernet, ADSL, Cisco routers and switches, and firewalls includes Juniper and Cisco ASAs.
