Cisco Wireless Network Engineer
Background:
Following a continued period of growth, we are looking for a Cisco Wireless Network Engineer for an organisation which will be based with clients in the Thames Valley region. The company are a leading Cisco Partner supplying some of the most cutting edge solutions to medium and large organisations internationally.
Role:
The successful Cisco Wireless Network Engineer you will be involved in a wide range of activities around the design and deployment of some greenfield projects for some flagship clients.
You:
The Cisco Wireless Network Engineer will come with around 5 years’ industry experience where they will have worked specifically with Wireless technologies for a minimum of 3 on variety of Wireless projects. The Wireless experience can have come from either a Vendor or Integrator/Partner and you will have been involved with the design and deployment of Wireless solutions that have specifically used Cisco technology. You will be CCNP or CCIE certified, CWNA, CWTS, CWNP or CWNE certs will be ideal.
From your previous roles you will have gained an understanding of customer requirements for wireless networks and how new products will integrate with their current infrastructure, the ability to create product documentation and perform analysis across the competitive products and the ability to carry out site surveys and implementation of large scale Wireless implementations.
As well as the above you will have the following:
*Working experience with site surveys, access points, wireless controllers
*Expert knowledge of 802.11a/b/g/n wireless networks, site surveys, requirements gathering, deployment challenges.
*Strong understanding of LAN, WAN, wired networks including firewalls, content filters, routing, switching, VLANs.
*Good knowledge of security methodologies including 802.1x inc. RADIUS integration
