Operations Manager

I am recruiting for an Operations Manager to work for a client of mine in the North West (Commutable from North Wales and Cheshire)

See below an over for the role:
Responsible for all manufacturing and Operations matters including line management of circa 100 shop floor employees.

The Role:
• Ensure all production output achieves the required quality standards, within budget and incorporating a right first time approach
• Manage production Team Leaders/Supervisors to maximise efficiency of production output, reduce waste and minimise WIP
• Ensure the production and maintenance departments are manned to an appropriate level and that all working hours, in particular overtime and shift working, is fully justified and approved
• Lead by example, demonstrating high standards of behaviour, honesty & integrity – developing and supporting people through coaching and feedback
• Plan and prioritise manufacturing activities to ensure optimum use of resources and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications and Skills:
• Strong interpersonal skills, including excellent verbal and written communication skills, an effective communicator at all levels
• Persistent, energetic & enthusiastic to achieve objectives
• Organised and consistent

Previous Experience:
• Experience of component manufacturing ideally gained in “Batch manufacturing environment” or High Complex, Highly regulated environments, would also consider Chemical environments
• Proven record of attracting, motivating and developing key people is essential
• Proven record of gaining results from a Manufacturing team
• Experience of working in a highly regulated environment with strict adherence to policies and standards.

Salary: £60,000 – £66,000 + Bonus (upto 30%) + Car allowance
