Vetting Officer/ Interview Assessor – DV Cleared

We are looking for Vetting officers to work for our Government Client. Ideally candidates who have come from a police background would be ideal, or have extensive interviewing experience. The Role will require you to go up to site however you will be working from home, and where is required.

The role:-

Carrying out interviews with new recruits. Each interview is highly detailed going into everything from a candidates family relationships to social life, their financial affairs to their sexual preferences. All the time looking for discrepancies or possible risks without making judgements. Then you will report your findings flagging anything significant.

Need to have the character to put people from a range of backgrounds at ease, gain candidates confidence and get them to talk openly about all aspects of their lives. You will be dealing with people who may be defensive, angry and in some cases listening to genuinely upsetting stories.

You will need to have excellent people skills, be a good listener and focus on what they hear as the assessments they make will have genuine impacts into people’s lives and careers. In each case they must remain professional and unbiased, assessing everything in the contact of protecting national security.

You need to be able to assess risks and should have advanced interviewing skills, be able to work unsupervised and manage their time and have experience of documenting and writing reports.
