Salary: £31,562 – £42,270 per year

Nurturing Your Recruitment are currently looking for Occupational Therapists, Paramedics, Registered Nurses, RMNs and Physiotherapists for an exciting opportunity based in Glasgow.

As a Disability Assessor you will join an established team of highly skilled health care professionals. The role on offer is both challenging and rewarding. The work will be providing disability assessments to Personal Independence Payment (PIP) claimants. As a healthcare professional you must have appropriate knowledge of the clinical aspects of a wide range of medical conditions. You will be expected to utilise your clinical and evidence based knowledge The Ideal professional highly tuned interpersonal skills and examination skills to work determine how disabilities or impairments (from a range of health conditions) impact on activities of daily living.

– Full – Time 37.5 Hours per week (NO Weekends/Nights/Bank holidays)
– Band 6 Earnings
– Clinical support and structure in place to help support you.
– Accurately record observations and formal clinical findings.
– Must have a minimum 2 year’s post qualification experience

Training involved:
• Full CPD recognised training is provided to become a fully approved Disability Analyst
• Initial E-learning modules 1 weeks of online training
• Intensive 8 classroom based days training workshop
• Follow up training and mentoring leading to full approval
• All counts towards your professional registration

Key Responsibilities
– To carry out medical examinations and provide medical advice on capacity of work (PIP assessments). Work to productivity and quality targets and respond positively to feedback.
– Analyse and interpret clinical information/medical evidence and provide reports in a professional and concise manner.
– Produce succinct, accurate and comprehensive reports in plain English to enable decision making and are of a good standard before being forwarded to the client

As part of the Government’s welfare reform agenda, the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) have introduced a new benefit called the Personal Independence Payment (PIP). Replacing the Disability Living Allowance (DLA). PIP is designed to better reflect today’s understanding of disability and is focused on helping with the extra costs disabled people face to lead independent lives.
