Accountant Income and Projects

Your new company: Hays are recruiting on behalf of a welfare charity that helps people in financial need gain access to welfare benefits, charitable grants and other financial help.The organisation has gone through a rebranding and has grown in recent years and they are now looking for an Income and Project Accountant to join them on a permanent basis.

Your new role: The purpose of this role is to t take full responsibility for the completeness, accuracy and integrity of the income, banking and credit card area of the organisation. You will plan and undertake projects to improve processes and systems and will monitor, update and fulfil the compliance calendar and liaise to ensure that all company secretarial/ regulatory requirements are fulfilled.

Key duties will include responsibility for all group companies’ income accounting, banking and bank reconciliations, maintaining a strong control environment and fulfilling month end and year end requirements. You will also reconcile the fundraising and accounting systems and produce monthly cash flow forecasts. What you’ll need to succeed: This role would suit someone who likes a hands on accounting role but also likes the challenge of identifying, designing & implementing process improvements and carrying out project work, and can balance these two objectives well. You will be hard working, innovative and be able to work well within a team.
