Support Worker (Charity / Learning Disabilities)

Position: Supported Living Workers 
Location: In and around Stroud and Stonehouse, Gloucestershire 
Hours: Various – full and part-time hours available (10 – 35 Hours per Week) 
Salary: £26,000per year (after successful completion of Level 2 Qualification in H&SC (Adults) or after successful completion of probationary period, if qualification is already held). 

About the Role: 
As a Support Worker for Hft, you will enable the people they support to lead fulfilling lives based upon their personal support needs. 

Working to the standards set internally by Hft and externally (for example, by the Care Quality Commission), you will do all you can to make sure that the people they support and your colleagues come to no harm and that the people they support are satisfied with the level of support they receive. 

About You: 
No previous experience is required for this role, what is more important is that you have a passion and desire to be part of the social care world, and are enthusiastic about supporting people. 

An awareness or knowledge of dementia and learning disabilities would be great, however if you have a caring nature, like being around people and can tackle issues with a positive frame of mind, then you are highly encouraged to apply today. This role will involve some intimate personal care. 

As they provide 24/7 support you need to be able to work shifts, including weekends, some nights and Bank Holidays. You will also be required to accompany people they support on holidays and attend training courses and other activities. 

You may have experience of the following: Support Worker, Charity, Charities, Third Sector, Learning Disabilities, Social Care, Voluntary Sector, Mental Health Worker, Healthcare Assistant, Care Staff, Community Development, Care Worker, Vulnerable People, Social Worker, Not for Profit, NFP etc.
