Recycling Depot Supervisor – Operations

Our client is a world leader in paper and cardboard recycling and manufacturing. They require a Recycling Depot Operations Supervisor at their Nottingham depot. The role will ensure the smooth operation of the recycling depot, looking after a team of production workers and driving (c10 staff).

Personal Specification

* Experience gained from recycling / transport environment (e.g. paper)
* Positive, proactive approach
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Attention to detail
* Willingness to challenge processes and offer new ideas
* Demonstrate good working knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft packages
* Experience with Microsoft Navision and SAP beneficial but not essential
* Experience within the paper / recycling sector desirable
* Knowledge of transport operation an advantage
* CPC Qualification desirable
* Willingness to promote a positive health and safety culture and awareness of Site Rules with visitors and colleagues

Overall Purpose of the Role:

To lead the operations of the Recycling depot, duties to include operation and administration of both production and transport:

– To lead the day to day operation of the production facility, its production team and all related fields; Manage the material flows in and out of the depot

– Monitor daily all elements of Transport related compliance reporting any infringements/non compliances to Depot Manager

– Dealing with enquiries, data entry in line with all Company procedures & liaison with other SKR departments to resolve queries

To control and monitor the performance of the:

– Production Supervisors and Production Operatives and the Drivers

– Factory Production and its current working practices

– Material collections and customer service delivery through fleet and drivers
