Accounts Assistant

We are seeking an additional Accounts Assistant to join our team of five reporting into the management accountant, working as part of our friendly Office team. The Accounts Assistant will be providing support across our treasury and accounts departments. You will be based at our head office working 9 -5pm Monday to Friday and we can offer a generous salary of up to £30,000 plus bonus, free parking and a full benefits package. In addition, we will also fund further accounts based studies.

The main Responsibilities will include

Handling of supplier invoices on a daily basis, ensuring the validity and returning all invalid documents as and when necessary

Distribution of supplier invoices for authorization to various departments

Processing large payment runs on a regular basis, via Sun System Accounts Payable function or via manual raise through internet banking

Monitor and review of outstanding invoices with prompt resolution of queries

Ensuring all supplier invoices are filed accurately and timely

Answering supplier phone calls and resolving queries

*
Reconciliation of supplier statement and creditors ledgers on a timely basis

*
Processing of financial transactions (journal posting) in relation to the Corporate/ Treasury / Securitization operations to the Sun accounting system

Assist in the preparation of reconciliation including Balance Sheet reconciliations

Assist in the preparation of bank reconciliations

Ensure the trial balance is up to date at each month end and prepare relevant reports for review by the Manager, Accountant, Head of Finance and / or CFO

To be successful as our accounts assistant you should have worked as an accounts administrator or accounts assistant and have a good understanding of accountancy and bookkeeping practices with strong I.T skills including Microsoft and Excel.
