Salary: £36,000 per year
We are currently recruiting for a Blaster/Painter for an oil & gas services client in the Aberdeen area. This is a permanent role and will be a 40 hour basic week with overtime as and when required.
Main duties will include but not be limited to:
Carry out Shot Blasting to 2.5 standard
Perform all aspects of a coatings project safely and efficiently.
Understanding of different coating systems and required microns.
Operate, clean and maintain all painting equipment, including brush, rollers, sprayers, mixing equipment, pumps and PPE.
Operate, clean, and maintain all blasting equipment including blast pots, elevator and PPE.
Carry out blasting and painting inspection and ensure this is documented Maintain a safe work site.
Preferred Skills:
Strong work ethic
Knowledge on areas requiring masking/protection
High attention to detail
Understanding of the application of high performance coatings.
Requires experience with all aspects of painting, surface preparation, finishing and maintenance of a wide variety of industrial structures.
Basic understanding of coatings scope documents.
Forklift License B2 (preferred but not essential)
Proven track record in blasting & painting.
