Site Standards & Compliance Manager

Salary: £42,000 – £54,000 per year

Our client is one of the UK’s largest growers and packers of soft fruit supplying many of the top UK food retailers. Our client is now seeking a Site Standards & Compliance Manager to join their highly motivated team and to continue to deliver exceptional quality products to their customers.

Reporting to the Technical Director, you will be responsible for monitoring and improving the quality & technical standards within their two packhouses. You will also be responsible for the day to day management of best practise along with updating KPI information and supporting new product development. Continually identifying ways of improving both the physical and financial performance of the business will be key. You will have experience of TFS, SMETA & SEDEX ethical audits.

Responsible for delivering customer and legal compliance and requirements related to Packhouse, Field

Operations, Workers and Site Accommodation. Responsible for driving excellence and industry best

practise to develop all aspects of the sites. Wherever possible, simplify and harmonise Policies, Procedures and Protocols between both their Hereford and Kent sites.

You will need to have a good technical understanding of the fresh produce quality requirements and accreditation expected by the UK retailers. Ideally you should have at least 5 years experience of working in a similar technical role. You will need to have worked within the production function understanding the pressures on labour and quality as well as utilising your knowledge of BRC, HACCP and leaf marquee standards.
