The MS Society is the UK’s largest charity fighting to improve treatment and care to help people with multiple sclerosis (MS) take control of their lives. We’re a powerful voice for people with MS and we demand the highest quality care and support for people, wherever they live.

To continue to invest in the support we provide we need to significantly increase our income and continue to raise awareness of MS and wider recognition of the vital work the MS Society does; that’s why the Press and PR Officer is such a crucial role.

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Press and PR Officer to join our small, motivated team. You’ll be working in a friendly and supportive environment and play a key role in assisting the planning and delivery of a creative and effective public relations programme that puts MS and the MS Society at the forefront of the news agenda.

Your tenacity and drive will help us to achieve media coverage that delivers our key messages to target audiences in a way that really sticks. You’ll work with colleagues across the MS Society, but particularly in our policy and campaigns team, to ensure we integrate our external communications and maximise the impact of our campaigns across a range of channels.

You’ll have experience of working in a press office, and the ability to be nimble and responsive to the news agenda, while also ensuring proactive plans remain on course. You’ll be armed with excellent writing skills and a positive, can-do attitude.

We offer 27 days annual leave (excluding bank holidays) a 35 hour working week, travel loan and various other benefits such as supported developmental opportunities.
