PHP Developer

PHP Developer required to join the digital team of a top communications agency in Hampshire, to develop a range of database focussed web applications and websites for their big brand clients like BA, IBM and the Telegraph. The digital team is key part of the business and they interact throughout and are involved in the full project life cycle

To be considered for this position you need to be technically astute, enthusiastic and keen to work in an evolving and dynamic team environment. Strong experience in LAMP environment using OOP PHP 5.x and MySQL is a must. You will have the ability to work on your own as well as in a team. With the experience of building enterprise level web applications and a strong understand of application and server security.

Skill Set Summary

PHP 5.3+o OOP with MVC understanding

o Extensive core knowledge of PHP for legacy application maintenance

o Experience in PHP frameworks not essential but an understanding of coding practices and processes is important

o Data security both in PHP coding and associated storage mechanisms is essential

o High quality code using a standardised and consistent layout

MySQL 5
Writing complex SQL queries, understanding normalised form, keys and table relationships
Javascript – jQuery / jQuery UI / Bootstrap
HTML / XHTML / HTML 5
CSS 2 / CSS 3 and appropriate frameworks
CMS experience, building and/or adoption
