Airport Agent-Mt Fitter

We are currently recruiting for a Lead Technician for a major client based at Gatwick Airport.

A qualified & experienced ground support equipment / heavy plant mechanic is sought to join a ground handling company’s in-house motor vehicle workshop based at Gatwick Airport

Candidates must have at least 4 years’ experience working within a GSE/ heavy plant / commercial vehicle environment and holds recognised mechanical qualifications.
City & Guilds or NVQ level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Mechanics,
A good working knowledge of hydraulic / electrical systems is essential

Duties include preventative / reactive maintenance on a wide verity of vehicles and plant from baggage trailers up to 70t aircraft push back tugs.
Faults diagnostics
Ability to weld desirable though not essential as fabrication work may be required
Ability to work solely or with a team
Work to tight deadlines and industry standards
Excellent communicator (verbal and written)

Valid driving licence.

This position is subject to a CRC and 5 year work checkable history

Hours: Initially Monday – Friday 7am – 3pm
