Qualified Social Worker x 6, Long Term Children & Families Teams, Reading

Remedy Recruitment Group is looking for experienced Qualified Social Workers to work in children’s services.

There are 3 locality teams in Reading, each covering a defined geographical area. Each area has a diverse population, a number of schools and community resources including a Children’s Action Team, Children’s Centres and a range of Youth Services. There is parking around the building and on the road. The offices are a short drive from the town centre and the areas they cover.

Main duties include:
• Working with children from 0-18 years, in order to provide as much continuity for children and young people as possible.
• Hold and maintain caseloads include children on Child Protection Plans, Looked After Children, Court Proceedings, children to be placed for Adoption and SGOs and some Children in Need.
• Working with Looked After Children who transfer to the Leaving Care Service during the summer before their GCSE year.
• Write detailed reports and attend court where necessary

Essential requirements:
• A social work qualification (degree in social work, DipSW, CQSW or equivalent recognised social work qualification
• A strong social work background with excellent communication skills
• Post qualified experience working with children

You will be required to fully register with Remedy for all locum positions.
