Repair & Overhaul Engineer (Gas Turbines – MRO)

Salary: £33,600 – £44,400(Negotiable)

This is a full time role in a progressive, busy and vibrant engineering firm. The primary purpose of the position is to support the current engineering team develop new repair schemes and processes using standards, technologies and methods that deliver product excellence whilst meeting the key business objectives of safety, quality and cost.

Key Responsibilities

– Create and develop new overhaul procedures based on available technical data, re-engineering, engine operation, customer requirements and standard procedures.
– Support Jet Engine Repair and Overhaul department.
– Special tool and test apparatus development, procurement and /or construction.
– Re-engineering of required replacement details and/or parts consumed in the developed repair / overhaul process.
– Continual improvement of products and processes to optimise on Safety, Quality, Cost & Service Excellence.
– Training of shop floor personnel against developed processes.
– Maintain good communications with internal/external customers and regulatory bodies.
– Work in conjunction with Quality Engineer, General Manager and Team Leaders to develop and manage effective lean solutions.
– Other duties as required by the General Manager.
