Project Manager

Salary: £72,000 – £96,000 per year

Experienced Project Manager with experience in the structural/secondary steelwork industry – to join growing steelwork fabrication business company based in Oxfordshire.

Ideally suited to someone with excellent knowledge of structural/secondary steelwork and is capable of running projects from an initial survey through to handover.

The Project Manager will closely work with the Drawing Office, Estimating, Construction and Contract management teams and will be initially responsible for running the companies smaller, bespoke projects.

Contract Manager duties will include:

• Running/Managing several steelwork projects at any one time.

• Getting involved early on in the process – liaising with client, agreeing project programme etc.

• Producing Risk Assessments, Method Statements.

• Carrying out / assist with site survey.

• Liaising internally with estimating dept, drawing office etc

• Coordinating site teams for installation and arranging any plant/equipment needed to install as required.

• Taking projects through to sign off and handover.

Working closely with eh Drawing Office, helping them with RFI’s, liaison with Architects and Engineers etc.

Project Manager requirements:

• Solid knowledge of structural and/or secondary steelwork.

• Experience setting out/carrying out surveys would be ideal as a lot of these works require a survey to start the project, so experience of surveys would be an advantage but not essential.

• Experience using lasers/total stations or similar would be advantageous but again not essential as full equipment training is available as required.

• Prior experience working as a Project Manager or similar is ideal – however applications from experienced steelwork draughtsmen will certainly be considered, who now wish to move into Project Management.

• Full driving license
