Salary: £33,600 per year

Can you speak French & German (ideally both) as well as English to business transactional level?

Are you competent and confident with Procurement & Logistics Business System Skills? 

Are you available asap?

Would you be happy to do home based work with training to take place in the initial instance around the Milton Keynes, Bedfordshire area with meetings to take place in this location – where the team are located?

Location: a hybrid approach mainly from home with some training and meetings in local offices in Beds and Bucks HO is in London 

Salary :£28,000 

Benefits: additional holiday pay

Hours: Mon -Fri 9am-530pm

We are working with a large global tech company that works closely with the hospitality and leisure sector in a technological capacity, and due to high volumes of work especially in their French and German markets, they are looking for some support.

General Overview 

  • Generate Purchase Orders, to enable the ordering of goods and services.
  • Issue Purchase Orders to appropriate vendors.
  • Receive and maintain order acknowledgement communications
  •  Follow up, monitor and track the status of all Purchase Orders.
  • Schedule delivery of goods/services against required dates, to ‘Just In Time’ principles.
  • Control any/all Purchase Orders related scenarios such as non-delivery, late delivery, over shipments, under shipments, damaged goods by via Returns Material Authorisation, or Advanced Warranty Replacement.
  • Communicate delivery updates along with Purchase Order status’ to the stakeholders.
  • Identify potential solutions to any supply, fulfilment or sourcing problems.
  • Communicate with 3 rd party Partners/Contractors/Delivery locations to ensure that Delivery Notes and sent via email to the company, allowing the system receipting of Purchase Orders.

Vendor Relationship Management (VRM):

  • Compliment vendor relationships, specifically with Order Management and Scheduler counterparts.
  • Engage with vendors on a day-to-day basis.

Financial Interfacing:

  • Engage with internal Accounts Payable function ensuring any invoices will be paid to agreed terms.
  •  In the event of not being paid to terms, communicate with Group Procurement Director as to why – so that the vendor can be communicated to (in advance of breach of terms).
  • Pass any invoices to Accounts Payable once approved.

Portfolio:

  • Familiarisation of products and services that will be procured.

Systems:

  •  If required, assist in maintaining Vendor Profiles/Record cards in company tools, whether ERP on localised solution.
  •  If required, assist in maintaining price lists in company tools, whether ERP or localised solution.
  • Store all/any vendor related contracts, agreements, terms, conditions in company tools, whether ERP or localised solution.
  • If required, produce Procurement related reports.
  • Maintain Materials Requirement Planning tools, whether ERP on localised solution.

Inventory:

  •  Assist in the monitoring of stock levels and identify procurement needs against forecasts or holding levels.

Sourcing:

 Assist in the investigation (and research) when required, potential new vendors to the company.

 Assist in the identify of alternative supply options of goods/services should a vendor not be able to fulfil as originally planned.

Logistics:

When/if required, arrangement shipment of goods between locations – whether 3 rd party or internal.

Quotations:

Obtain quotations from Vendors for goods and services, whether via price lists, portals, or writing communication methods.

Other:

Support all other members of the Group Procurement Department in day to day duties, as and when required.

Qualifications/Experiences: 

Management and Decision Making to be able to work on own 

Leadership skills – positive, confident and capable

Ability to set clear direction

Ability to manage time, plans, projects and other related tasks

Successfully and productively resolve problems

Execute business and financial skills

Exceptionally detail oriented

A great communicator both verbal and written 

The ability to speak business level French and German as well as English (at least one plus English)

Business System skills and experience of ERP platforms or similar (Business Central, Navision – preferred)

Ideally past experience in either a Procurement, Purchasing, Supply Chain or Order Management

environment.

Basic level of Excel.
