Outskirts of Andover
This role is based near Andover but will require travel across the area to visit with franchisees and visit other network occasions.
The Sales Development Manager will report directly to General Manager. This is not your standard Sales Development role as the company is a vertically integrated business which has a great supply chain and direct contact with the customers. The sucessful candidate will be able to work with franchisees building up a solid relationship with them and being their main point of contact.
The focus of the Sales Development Manager is to assist the company to build the business by continuing to raise the company profile, enhance their reputation attract new customers and consolidate the relationships with existing customers building loyalty and advocacy along the way.
The Sales Development Managers role is also to drive growth across the managed territories. This will not necessarily be by coming up with amazing new sales ideas but from understanding what works and being consistent in driving these activities.
Responsibilities for the franchise territories
Improve customer retention and spend
increase customer engagement and referral/recommendation
Increase customer acquisition
Build up reputation through increased loyalty and advocacy
Organise and run agreed training programmes to improve franchisee sales skills
Using quarterly reviews with KPI measures against the annual budget to assess performance
Responsibilities for the in-house managed territories
Responsibility for New Customers, Order Count and Retail Turnover within the P&L and budget
Compile the in-house budget plan in conjunction with the General Manager
Put together a sound marketing and sales plan
Management of the shows and Events Coordinators
Management of the Customer Services team in delivering the company standard of customer service
Person Requirements
Lively, energetic and driven – you will be able to use traits to motivate the franchisees and improve performance
Excellent relationship management skills
An understanding of the retail environment and dealing with the end customer
focused and able to understand company offer and why people buy
numerate and confident in using excel and analysing data
Experience of working with business plans and understanding a P&L and advising others on them
A great communicator and a people person to ensure you are the main point of communication
Resourceful and always looking for better ways of doing things
You will be confident, credible and resilient and be able to carry out tough decisiomns when needed bur be able to apply fair judgement and still be personable at these times
