I’m currently recruiting for an experienced Regional Bonded Manager to join a large blue chip company assisting the senior management team in ensuring HMRC bond compliance is maintained.

They are seeking a Bonded Manager to support the current operation in the coordination of goods in & out for blue-chip customers, mostly dealing with duty suspended stock within alcohol loads.

The Candidate;

* Previous experience within a bonded warehouse manager position
* Experience of bonded warehouse operations and alcohol stock is highly desirable
* Previous experience of using WMS systems
* Intermediate or advanced Excel and Microsoft skills
* Experience using HMRC Gateway advantageous
* Understanding of BRC requirements
* Relevant accounting/tax qualification
* Strong knowledge of UK customers and exports legislation and compliance
* Alcohol trading industry experience is distinct advantage (Customers & Excise Alcohol Duty and AWRS compliance)

Duties and Responsibilities;

* To manage, co-ordinate and control the function to ensure conformity with HMRC regulations for the receipt, storage, internal movement and processing and delivery of both bulk and bottled products.
* To manage and control the duty deferment account within the guarantee limit and to accurately pay and account for Excise and Customs Duty, Import VAT, Deferred VAT and environmental taxes. Prepare monthly reconciliations to this effect.
* To provide appropriate advice to management on Excise and Customs Duties.
* Provide necessary training to personnel in relation to HMRC compliance.
* Preparation and submission of Intrastat returns to meet HMRC deadlines.
* To be subject matter expert on supply chain-related fiscal authority process and routines compliance.
* To develop and embed best practice tax processes.
* To coordinate a robust and structured internal compliance process.
* Develop a good working partnership with Head of Compliance ensuring overall compliance within the business is maintained at all times.
* Overall delivery of the daily operating plan for all Excise and Customs customers across the sites accompanied by SLA’s.
* Effective management and communication of operational change
* Ensure depot adheres to/surpasses agreed SLA and KPIs
* Promote proactive people management responses to change issues and initiatives to enable the depot to fulfil its responsibility to staff or, in pursuit of site or organisational aims and objectives.
