Salary: £66,000 – £78,000 per year

M&E Quantity Surveyor | £55,000 – £65,000 | London | Fit Out / M&E | Permanent

Over 15 years ago, this main contractor commenced its journey to become one of the best construction firms in London.

Working on projects primarily in and around central London across various sectors including retail and hospitality, commercial fit out, high end residential, schools and leisure, their reputation has continued to grow, with projects delivered both on a traditional design and design and build basis.

Engaged in a full scope of services including the construction of new buildings, alterations, refurbishments and re-modelling and fitting out interior spaces, they are particularly adept at delivering complex and technically difficult schemes.

An M&E Quantity Surveyor is now required to join their team and work on forthcoming tender opportunities and newly secured projects, whilst also potentially becoming involved on a current live project to manage sub-contractor variation accounts.

The M&E Quantity Surveyor will need to demonstrate a wide range of competency in a number of areas including tendering MEPH packages on a single stage and two stage basis including various packages such as mechanical services, electrical services, BMS, Sprinklers, Smoke Extract Installations, Security Installations and Fire Curtains.

M&E Quantity Surveyor – Skills, requirements and expertise:

* Demonstrable knowledge of the tender information needed to ensure robust tender returns

* Demonstrate a solid understanding of the key risks inherent in a project

* Sound understanding of the various interfaces of MEPH packages in line with other associated trade packages

* Proven experience in undertaking and driving value engineering, with the ability to advise on MEPH alternatives for design consideration

* Firm knowledge of programming and sequencing requirements

* Ability to manage sub-contractor variation accounts

* Ability to work independently

* Good IT skills and knowledge of software tools including Microsoft excel and word plus knowledge of bluebeam

* Strong attention to detail

* Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
