Our client is an internationally renowned independent day and boarding preparatory school for over 600 boys and girls aged 8 to 13. They were recently inspected by the Independent Schools Inspectorate in November 2014 and was found to be “Excellent” in all areas of teaching and pastoral care and “Exceptional” with regard to “The Quality of Pupils’ Achievements and Learning”.
The staff of over 300 full and part time individuals includes 120 teachers, 35 visiting music and learning support teachers, 30 teaching assistants, 35 pastoral staff and 90 support and administrative staff. A further range of individuals provide sports coaching and specialist services on a contract basis.
They are now seeking to appoint a part time Assistant Senior Matron to be part of the Boarding House team who share responsibility for the well-being and welfare of the pupils, as well as some domestic and administrative duties associated with life in a Boarding House. Essential qualities of the Assistant Senior Matron are a good sense of humour, enjoyment of working with Junior/Middle School girls, patience, stamina and computer literacy.
