Salary: £72,000 – £78,000 per year
Due to a number of recent project wins, we are working on behalf of a well-established, international M&E Design Consultancy who are looking to expand their London office with a Principal Mechanical Design Engineer with strong commercial projects experience from a building services background.
The Principal Mechanical Engineer will have prior commercial project experience and have experience leading projects mechanically as well as from a financial point of view. The ideal person will be ambitious and someone who has mentored or trained junior engineers and interested in becoming a leader within a growing organisation.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- The Principal Mechanical Engineer will be a lead member of the team working alongside the Directors.
- Assisting with design development on high value commercial projects.
- Training and mentoring the Junior Engineers in the team.
- Representing the client at Design Team and Client Meetings.
SKILLS AND BACKGROUND
- Qualified to MEng or BEng Degree level or equivalent in either mechanical engineering or building services engineering.
- Relevant experience as a Senior or Principal level Mechanical Design Engineer within a consultancy is essential.
- The Principal Mechanical Engineer will ideally hold Chartered status through CIBSE or IMechE however not essential.
- The Principal Mechanical Engineer will have experience of working on commercial projects on a large scale.
