Mechanical Design Engineer

Salary: £54,000 – £72,000 per year

Within this position you will be working with a highly skilled Engineering team and will be working for an employer who has introduced ground-breaking technology into their areas of manufacturing and who are specialists in developing cutting edge technology, from initial concept through to production. Start: ASAP

Hours: 35 hours a week Monday – Friday, 9am – 5pm

Location: Cambridge

Salary: £45,000 – £60,000

What you will be doing:

• Creating new product from concept and developing detailed designs which take a conceptual product into a manufacturable product
• Working closely with the electronics engineers to ensure the designed product is fully compatible with the company’s technology
• Responsible for identifying and resolving issues with any products using prototype builds and test cycles
• Collaborating closely with manufacturing partners located globally

About you:

• Good understanding of mechanical design, structural and dynamics analysis
• Experience using 3D CAD, ideally Solidworks
• Able to travel abroad to provide customer support (covid permitting)
• Excellent customer facing skills
• Collectively work independently as well as within a team to ensure projects are achieved
