Semi Senior Accountant – Long Term Temporary Contract (Circa 10 Months)

Our client is a successful and well established West Midlands accountancy firm looking for a long term temporary staff member to cover maternity leave from now until around April 17. This Semi Senior Accountant job in Halesowen is suitable for an ACCA/ACA part qualified accountant with some experience working in a public practice accountancy firm. It presents an ideal opportunity for an experienced Junior Accountant/Semi Senior Accountant to gain some diverse experience within a fast paced Accountancy firm.

This well-established accountancy firm has a strong reputation for its client service excellence and wide range of services. The service offering has been developed over the years to include Payroll, Business Advice, Legal Services and Specialist Tax as well as the more traditional Audit & Accountancy services.

If you are seeking more exposure to clients this is the role for you, the diverse portfolio includes Property, Healthcare, Insurance and Engineering clients, as well as some interesting businesses from within the creative sector.

The main responsibilities for this temporary Semi Senior Accountant job include:

* Accounts preparation for Limited companies, Sole traders, Partnerships, LLP’s & Charities
* Completion of tax returns, both personal and corporation
* Liaising with clients and attending meetings to assess client needs

The perfect Semi Senior Accountant will be ACCA/ACA part qualified with a minimum of 12 months experience of working within a busy public practice accountancy firm. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are important for this role as the successful Semi Senior Accountant will be looking after an established client portfolio supporting the relevant Manager.

This role would suit an ambitious Junior Accountant looking to progress into a client facing role or an existing Semi Senior Accountant looking to join a public practice accountancy firm that allow them access to a wide range of clients as well as more autonomy. The annual salary of will be in the range of £26,000 – £37,440dependent on experience. Whilst this is a long term temporary contract there is the potential for a permanent role arising for the right candidate as the firm is growing continually.
