Our client is committed to providing a high quality education to their international body of students. An excellent opportunity has now arisen for a Head of School to join one of their highly successful international schools.

This is the ideal role for a high calibre school leader with an international education background looking to take the next step in their career with a successful and diverse organisation. The successful candidate will play a vital role in the future growth and success of one of our client’s London-based, international schools.

As the Head of School, you will be responsible for providing key leadership to one of our client’s international schools and ensuring that an exceptional standard of teaching and education is provided.

Co-ordinating and regularly reviewing the curriculum, you’ll ensure that it is internationally relevant and prepares students for an ever-changing world. You’ll develop effective classroom practices and regularly appraise the quality of teaching throughout the school to ensure that high standards are achieved.

Working alongside the Senior Leadership Team, you’ll formulate, implement and review a school development plan. Additionally, maintaining a caring and stimulating environment, you’ll ensure that students are challenged and provided for.

As part of your role, you will be required to undertake occasional travel to our client’s other sites in London and Suffolk.

Your other duties will include:

– Recruiting staff and reviewing performance
– Encouraging a culture of international mindedness
– Overseeing the maintenance of the school buildings
– Ensuring that parents and guardians are provided with up-to-date information

To be considered for this role, you must be a fully qualified teacher. You must also have:

– At least 10 years’ education experience, including five years’ experience of international education
– A minimum of five years’ experience of leadership or management
– A proven track record of school leadership
– Experience of working in a residential environment
– Previous experience of curriculum and pastoral management
– A proven track record of managing and analysing assessment processes
– At a minimum, a Master’s degree

As the Head of School, you must possess exceptional leadership, communication and presentation skills with a collaborative approach. Proactive and ambitious, you must also have the ability to motivate and inspire a team and manage your time effectively.
