**Desktop And Build (EUC) Team Leader – Manchester – Remote Working**
My client, a leading organisation, currently has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Desktop & Build (EUC) Team Leader, to join their established but rapidly expanding Tech Hub based in Manchester.
Although the role is based in Manchester, this position would offer Remote Working.
As the Desktop & Build / EUC Team Leader you will be tasked with driving the build definition, OS build images, applications and OS updates including iterative testing in addition to the management of end user devices across the estate.
Role Profile:
* To be responsible for the Desktop & Build / EUC Team rostering and performance, ensuring the team works in alignment with the technical framework and Service Management processes.
* Ensuring the team is fully equipped with the tools and knowledge to investigate, diagnose and resolve complex technical incidents and fulfil technical requests for all infrastructure/systems to SLA.
* Leading mission critical IT infrastructure operations ensuring service excellence. This includes responsibility for the key disciplines of service management and service delivery; incident, problem, change, transition, configuration management, asset and obsolescence management, service continuity, availability, capacity and reporting.
* Responsible to ensure the chosen software and hardware are continually tested to avoid incompatibilities and/or failures caused by updates or changes.
* Ensure that activities and escalations are in line with both customer and service level agreements.
* Participate in root cause analysis for complex major incidents and escalated faults.
* Contribute in the development of processes and aligned documentation, which are aligned to ITIL best practices.
Desirable Skills;
* Building new SCCM central site servers and distribution points, including cloud DPs/MPs.
* Creating and automating the installation of Lookers gold image via SCCM/MDT
* Experienced in the planning and implementation of Windows client and server operating systems.
* PowerShell scripting and automating the delivery of packaged applications via SCCM.
* Knowledgeable in batch file, VBScript and PowerShell Scripting for automating processes.
* Procure and standardise hardware across the estate.
* Develop, update, document and manage GPOs in an enterprise environment.
* Hardware testing and implementation.
* Experience (implementation, configuration and troubleshooting) of AD, GPO, DNS, DHCP, RDS, security hardening/updates and patching.
* Experience with other Microsoft products such as Teams, IIS, SCOM, Microsoft Identity Manager (MIM) and InTune.
