The role

This field-based role will be home-based and will involve travel throughout the North East and Cumbria, reporting to the Regional Sales Manager the role offers a unique opportunity for an ambitious Sales Manager with experience in selling heavy plant and construction equipment to help the business grow by increasing and delivering sales of all products and services throughout the region.

• Selling the SMT GB product range and promoting all the associated SMT GB Packages
• Developing customer relationships, understanding requirements, and gaining market intelligence
• Driving new and used machine sales, parts and service sales in line with regional targets for revenue, volume, mix and margin
• Producing on-going sales forecasts and business plans

What you’ll need

You’ll have Heavy plant and construction equipment knowledge and experience of managing sub dealers would be advantageous. Along with a proven track record in managing commercial negotiations and developing customer relationships. Self-motivated and proactive to work alone and meet and exceed targets and goals.
