Deputy Manager / Duty Manager / Team Leader

We need a dynamic, high energy leader who is ready for an exciting new role and the challenge of a new store opening! We are bringing our fun and fast paced operation to Ipswich and need an experienced operator to lead our team – £20k – £25k + Bonus.

Leading the way in our sector, we are a growing out of town retailer who continue to open new stores and grow our large customer base by offering a wide range of products and fantastic value for money.

This is a perfect opportunity for someone who either has a junior level management experience, but you feel ready for the next step up or someone who already has a good level of management experience for the more senior Deputy Manager role.

PURPOSE OF ROLE:

To manage your store & its staff in line with its Company goals and targets

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

The store to be presentable at all times with full availability and excellent customer service

Personable, prompt and polite service to be offered in all areas of the store

Achievement of Sales targets

Stock to be on sale during trading hours

Stores to be fully prepared for trade

To recruit, motivate and develop store colleagues to be responsive to store and customer demands

Colleagues to be recruited and inducted according to the established procedures

Be an ambassador for our culture of honesty, hard work and good reputation

Colleagues to be given the appropriate skills and knowledge

All colleagues to receive an annual appraisal

Rotas are managed in line with the business needs

To merchandise the store to provide a welcoming customer environment which also delivers sales and profitability

Stores to be properly laid out, fully stocked and maintained

Agreed promotion instructions to be followed and implemented

Every product on sale with a correct price ticket

Ensure company stock control procedures are carried out within the timetable

To operate and deliver processes that ensure the store meets all legal requirements

H&S checks administered and requirements met

Code checks delivered as per policy and procedures

Shop floor hygiene and housekeeping standards to be delivered

To protect and safeguard the company assets

Stocktaking to be competed in-line with company procedures

Ensure company property, cash & stock are secure at all times

Keep all controllable costs within budget

SALARY & BENEFITS:

Competitive Salary: £26,000per year – £26,000 per year
