Software Engineering Lead (Personalisation) – Manchester/remote
£60,000 – £65,000 – Healthcare, pension, dental etc.

Duties/Description

The personalisation team are building out a service to expose personalisation capabilities internally via an API. This will allow us to personalise every touch point with the customer from the homepage of the website to marketing emails. We’re utilising the latest technologies and looking to adopt modern programming languages (Python, JavaScript). You’d be working closely with our data scientists and data engineers. The team is working with large volumes of data and productionising machine learning models, so experience in this area is desirable. This is the next chapter of personalisation, so a real opportunity to shape a core part of the business. We use a wide range of technologies across a service-oriented architecture running in Kubernetes and AWS, powered by a CI/CD pipeline. Technologies currently include node.js, ruby, rails, python, elastic search, MySQL. We are a fast moving, delivery-focused team and deploy multiple times a day. In the role of Software Engineering Lead, you will take an active role in leading the growth of our engineers’ abilities and ensuring technical delivery.
