Salary: £33,600 – £38,400 per year

37.5 hours per week

Trident Group has over 50 years’ experience of delivering homes, services and innovation for up to 8,000 people in over 3,400 homes in some of the most disadvantaged communities in the Midlands. It employs more than 850 staff, works with many volunteers and provides training places and apprenticeships as part of the employment package. The Group has an annual turnover of more than £34m and owns assets close to £186m.

The Group consists of;

* Trident Housing, which provides landlord services for the Group in respect of housing management and maintenance

* Trident Reach, which is a registered care and support charity providing services to those who are homeless or at risk of homelessness, and those who have been victims of domestic abuse across all age groups across the Midlands.

About the role

This position is to lead and manage a team of tradesman to ensure day to day repairs and void work that is carried out on time and meets Trident Quality Standards.

Key Requirements:

* Successful resource management and delivery of cost effective, quality services within constrained resources, and working within a value for money framework.

* Manage external contractor resource to ensure high levels of productivity.

* Identify recharges and cost on all completed works.

* Authorise works ensuring cost are coming from the correct budget accounts.

* Liaise with the Locality and lettings team to undertake pre- inspections of properties about to become void and provide concise specifications.

About You

* Experienced in formulating clear specifications of work utilising SOR’s.

* Knowledge of building defects and how to rectify common issues.

* Managing a dispersed team with varied roles and responsibilities.

* Experience of Work Scheduling Software (Opti-time).

* Strong interpersonal skills to enable effective liaison with internal and external clients and customers.

* Ability to work unsupervised in order to complete tasks, acting on own initiatives.

* Ability to deliver and work under pressure, maximising use of limited resources.

* A clear commitment to an internal customer-centred service and continuous improvement.

* Understanding of legislation in maintenance and voids management, having the ability to translate these into working practice.

* Ability to prioritise workload and act on own initiative.

* Computer literate.
