Person Specification
As a graduate you should have achieved at least a 2.1 in your degree and C grades or above in your Maths and English GCSEs. The ideal applicant for this Primary Teaching Assistant role would already have experience aiding the development of SEN children in either a volunteer or paid position. Aside from this you must be hard-working, enthusiastic and have the ability to empathise with young children.
About the Role
This is a highly diverse role unlike most other Teaching Assistant vacancies. Your day-to-day duties will include working alongside an outstanding Primary Teacher in their Year 6 class of 26 children, providing one on one support and mentoring for an SEN child, and leading small groups in intervention or booster sessions. All these different daily duties will provide you with a wealth of experience that will make you application stand out. Aside from this you will also be expected to attend INSET days, and your overarching objective will be to maintain the schools long history of fantastic SAT grades.
