Job Profile
As the CMM Inspector / Quality Inspector you will be working in the Quality Assurance department working to ISO9001 standards. You will be responsible for ensuring internal and machined components meet design specifications.
Duties
* Work within the ISO9001 accredited quality management system
* Inspect external sourced parts and assemblies against design specifications, technical drawings and complete all relevant documentation
* Programming, setting and operating using CMM with PC-DMIS controls (control experience can be provided)
* Carry out first off inspections and in-process inspections
* Ensure all non-conforming items are segregated
* Create non-conformance reports and scrap notifications
* Support the department during customer complaint investigations
* Identify improvement opportunities and participate in and lead continuous improvement activities including team kaizen events
Key Skills & Experience
* Competent in running and programming CMM using PC-DMIS
* Demonstrates excellent attention to detail
* Have experience with machined and painted parts
* Competent in reading technical drawings and understanding tolerances
* Competent in using a range of handheld inspection instruments
Hours of Work
* 37hrs
* 8am to 4:30pm, Monday to Friday
