Civil Clerk of Works / Inspector of Works

Job: Clerk of works / Inspector of works – TRUNK ROAD

First People Solutions are currently recruiting for a clerk of works / Inspector of works for a large UK Design Consultancy.

Our client has a requirement for several clerk of works / Inspectors to work on a trunk road project in Scotland

The successful candidates will be site based, working on a project based in the central belt of Scotland.

Job Requirements:

Responsibilities:

Supervise and audit the site construction to ensure the works are constructed in accordance with the Design and Contract requirements.
Review and authorise the Contractor’s Inspection and Test Plans.
Audit the Contractor’s quality records.
Liaise with the Contractor, Client and local authority staff on technical and contractual issues.
Respond to the Contractor’s site queries
Attend meetings with the Contractor and Client
Monitor and report on site safety issues.
Issue responses to safety audits.
Provide feedback to the Design Office.Requirements:

Essential

Appropriate academic and professional qualifications, including HNC Civil engineering or equivalent and Member of relevant Professional Institution.
Proven experience in the supervision of construction of civil engineering schemes including experience of A & B roads in the UK.
Previous experience of acting as Clerk of Works is preferred but as a minimum must have worked as part of a team on roads civils projectsThis is a fantastic opportunity to be part of one of Scotland’s largest infrastructure jobs. There is a mixture of day shift and nightshift.
