Senior System Engineer. Linux Os

My client in Stuttgart are a very successful, growing Electronic Component Manufacturer for Automotive & Rail components who are seeking an experienced Senior System Engineer to join their team in Stuttgart.

Responsibilities:
– Manage In-Vehicle Infotainment System Integration
– Support IVI Hardware & Software development
– Maintain & improve IVI integration process, manage project timelines & ensure quality targets
– Main customer interface for development & integration of IVI systems
– Define & implement project plans
– Report progress & propose recovery/ improvement options
– Identify design & implementation issues & propose & gain approval for a suitable response
– Ensure good communication through daily contact with the customer and European & Japanese engineering colleagues
– Benchmarking existing infotainment systems & propose new processes/equipment to improve efficiency
– Liaise with suppliers & industry experts & stakeholders

Required experience:
– Experience with design/development/integration of Automotive Embedded Systems including quality processes (FMEA, Six Sigma)
– Linux OS
– DOORS
– Intel/Renesas Automotive IVI platforms
– Vehicle communication standards (CAN, MOST, Ethernet)
– Vehicle diagnostics
– User interface development
– Wired network analysis tools (CANalyzer)
– Must speak fluent German & English

This position is a lot more of a Project Management/ Quality Assurance role than the Senior Software Engineer position which is also advertised – that position is a lot more technical and for more of a developer.
