Accounts Assistant

Based in Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire, our well established and growing client is seeking an Accounts Assistant to join their friendly team for a c. 3 month temporary assignment although this may be extended.

This job would suit an immediately available accounts assistant with good hands on accounts skills who wants a position to see them through the Summer months.

The company is well positioned in its market with a strong reputation and a strong business plan. This position is a new role due to the increased work so this individual should want to join an interesting and busy environment.

The successful candidate will have knowledge of Purchase Ledger, sales ledger or general day to day accounting skills and knowledge of the accounting package Navision would be highly advantageous.

The position is looking to move quickly with interviews happening ASAP.

Responsibilities:

• Deal with backlog of invoice processing.
• Reconcile supplier statements.
• Deal with backlog of invoices related to direct debit payments.
• Investigate and resolve purchase ledger debit balances.
• Post manual payment journals.
• Monitors accounts payable e-mail and ensure queries being dealt with.
• Sales ledger admin.
• Sales ledger cash allocation.
• Maintain fixed asset register.
