Salary: £48,000 – £60,000 per year
Proven Finance Manager required to form part of a senior management team and support our client’s overall business strategy, providing financial information, operational planning, commercial awareness and decision-making.
The Position:
Heading up a small team, the Finance Manager will be responsible for:
* Analyzing financial information to assist business profitability and growth
* Providing accurate and sound management reporting to assist with key decision making
* Producing month-end and year-end financial reports
* Preparing statutory and management accounts
* Contributing to annual budgeting and planning process
* Managing capital expenditure
* Producing financial statements including P&L accounts, cash flows, variance analysis and commentaries
* Ensuring compliance with all financial regulations
* Reviewing accounting processes and practices and improving where necessary to ensure efficient financial operations
* Cash flow accountability and production of forecasts
* Reviewing company assets and liabilities
* Preparing monthly reconciliations for all accounts
* Assessment of monthly expenses
* Calculation, presentation and payment of VAT
* Production of relevant commercial analysis
The Candidate:
The appointed Finance Manager will need to demonstrate:
* A minimum of four years’ experience as a Finance Manager
* CIMA / ACCA/ ACA (or equivalent) qualifications
* Proven knowledge of financial management information systems
* Strong commercial acumen and understanding of compliance
* Proven communication, analytical and numerical abilities
* The ability to deal with internal/external stakeholders and understand operational business practices
* (Ideally) previous leadership or senior management experience (you will manage a small team and report directly to board level)
* The ability to influence beyond your own team but also other operational departments
* Competence in business reporting using SAGE, MIS & Microsoft platforms
* The ability to make decisions and take responsibility for finance objectives and outputs
* Previous experience of process improvement within a similar business environment
* The ability to prioritize workload to ensure both short- and long-term goals are met
