Balfour Beatty Living Places has now created a new and exciting opportunity for a Street Lighting Installation Operative to join our Living Places business Unit to work in Coventry.

It’s a varied role where you will support the growth of our Street Lighting Business within a set contract. Carrying out various tasks within the titled role making sure that all H&S objectives and responsibilities are adhered to. You will also assist with the maintenance and erection of Street Lighting Columns, signs and related equipment.

Some other key areas will include: –

• Excavation and reinstatement of coated and other surface materials
• Driving vehicles and operation of ancillary plant (hoists or lorry loaders)
• Appropriate vehicle and plant checks requiring routine maintenance and cleaning
• Transporting good, equipment and personnel to and from site
• Assisting in the loading and un-loading of the vehicles using, where necessary, mechanical aids
• Assisting with traffic management measures
• Participating when required for out of hour’s repair of lighting and sign installations
• The heavy physical effort whilst standing, walking, bending, pushing, pulling, lifting, carrying occasionally in awkward positions. 

You will probably have the following: –

• NRSWA accredited
• Recognised HIAB/CPC Training
• Street Lighting / Public Realm sector experience
• Full UK driving license to drive over 3.5t
