Salary: £48,000 per year
Job Summary
The role of the Technical Development Engineer is to take ownership of the testing of new products, structured recording of associated data, on-site technical support for the internal and external sales teams and any production requirements. The successful candidate will play a key role in the growth and success of the new venture both through imparting their technical expertise on NPD projects, performing in-depth testing on the latest product developments, and raising the level of customer service quality though knowledge of installation technicalities. This wide-ranging role will also require site-visits to larger projects when the sales team require more technical support.
* Laboratory and testing:
*
Perform all relevant testing on new product developments using the in-house Laboratory facilities
*
Aid in the development of in-house testing processes and procedures
*
Manage any calibration of test equipment
*
Compile and document all test data to the appropriate standards and quality
*
Manage any external product testing requirements as and when required
Development:
*
Be fully involved in the product design process providing insight into technicalities associated with EVSE products and their installation methods
*
Offer technical insight into practical aspects of EVSE products
Production:
*
Aid with any electrical issues arising on the assembly section
*
Aid in the development, upkeep and management of any test bench and electrical assembly equipment used on-site
Sales support:
*
the internal and external sales teams with technical queries
*
Conduct site visits if and when required
*
Any other duty deemed reasonable by the management
*
Overtime will be required if and when business needs arise
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
* Minimum HNC/HND in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
*
Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively converse with assembly staff, the senior management team and customers
*
Ability to accurately read and create assembly and test documentation
*
Knowledge of domestic and commercial wiring systems and the requirements of BS 7671:2018 (18th Edition)
*
Experience with EVSE products would be beneficial but not essential
*
Experience and knowledge of safe working principles and procedures for electrical equipment and installations

Salary: circa £48,000
*
Bonus: bonus’ are based on company and individual performance
