Education Support Worker

Salary: £15.29 per hour

We are seeking to recruit 2x Temporary Education Support Worker Band 5, based Omagh or Fermanagh areas for 1 month initially (trial period) with likely extensions,the role is temporary full time, Mon-fri 9am-5pm, £15.29 per hour.

The role is to drive and contribute to the development, formulation, implementation and delivery of completed Personal Education Plans (PEPs) for all relevant Looked After Children and Young People. The PEP is the regionally recognised document for identifying each child’s education related needs and for recording and monitoring each child’s progression in education in line with agreed goals and objectives.

Essential:

1. Must be available immediately for temporary work.

2. Hold a relevant Degree or equivalent / higher plus one years’ experience in a paid capacity to encompass extensive knowledge of the NI Curriculum and the Education Authority structures and functions associated with supporting young people in the primary education system

OR

HNC / HND / qualification or equivalent / higher and 2 years’ experience in a paid capacity to encompass extensive knowledge of the NI Curriculum and the Education Authority structures and functions associated with supporting young people in the primary education system

OR

Five GCSE’s including English and Maths or equivalent plus four years’ experience in a paid capacity to encompass extensive knowledge of the NI Curriculum and the Education Authority structures and functions associated with supporting young people in the primary education system.

*Relevant qualification is defined as Learning and Development, Health & Social Care or Education

AND

Hold a current full uk driving licence.
