Governance and Compliance Officer

Salary: £36 – £47.87 per hour

Hanson Lawrie is looking for a Governance and Compliance Officer ideally with experience in the Education Sector and with an NGA level 3 in clerking to play a pivotal part in ensuring effective governance and compliance across several educational establishments.

You will be setting the tone for the entire organisations attitude to governance and compliance and as such will have an in-depth understanding of this area and be able to demonstrate previous experience of managing school wide policies specifically in line with the Independent School Standards Regulations, Charity Commission and GDPR.

This role is wide ranging and will include:

* Providing professional and legal support service to the governing body

* Developing and maintaining efficient and effective governance and compliance services that support the entire school

* Coordinate and manage the schools risk register

* Managing and developing policies and procedures

* Managing and coordinating school audits and inspections

You will be an astute individual with a strong influencing skill able to communicate what can be sometime complex information in a clear and concise manner. You will have strong ethics and a meticulous attention to detail.

Due to the nature of the role, there will also be a large amount of administrative tasks as such good all round IT skills are required.

This role is a stand-alone position offering a lot of autonomy and responsibility and as such you will be a self driven individual with a team spirit.
