German/English Online Content Merchandiser – London – Up to £27K

This newly created international e-commerce position will play an important part in the launch of the client’s new German website. The role requires taking ownership of the content management and merchandising of products as well as overseeing the translation of all German communications.

The successful German/English Online Content Merchandiser should possess some of the following:
*Working knowledge of spoken and written German essential
*Educated to degree level with strong numerical and analytical skills
*Basic/Intermediate HTML
*Good knowledge of Adobe Photoshop
*Experience of MS Office (Word, Excel)
*Ability to work under own initiative and part of a team
*Be highly organised with pin-sharp eye for detail
*Highly motivated with a pro-active approach to all tasks

Responsibilities
*Ensure web pages are merchandised to their full potential at all times
*Manage all new product uploads including images
*Ensure site content and structure is fully optimized for SEO
*Translate, edit and proof read all web content including emails
*Reporting of traffic behaviour and use onsite analysis to make recommendations about site structure
*Manage onsite search optimisation
*Regular site usability and functionality testing
*Accuracy of all editorial content, imagery, product text etc. and conforms to brand guidelines
*Liaising with Customer Services Team and other departments with the translation of German communications as required
*Assisting the E-commerce team with the content management of the UK website

Salary: Up to £32,400
