Senior Stock Controller

Senior Stock Controller required by £80m turnover fmcg manufacturing business. This represents an excellent opportunity for an experienced Stock Controller from a fast moving manufacturing business to join a successful and expanding organization.

The Senior Stock Controller will carry out the following tasks:

– manage a team member and jointly review all stock usage and turnover.
– Take all possible action to minimize understocking or overstocking situations.
– highlight product lines where there are stock rotation issues and take appropriate action.
– liaise with colleagues in Supply Chain/Purchasing and Sales to source outlets for distressed and redundant stock.
– report on a weekly and monthly basis on stock write offs, out of date stock and overall stock holdings by location and product.
– liaise constantly with purchasing, forecasting and sales teams to provide information on slow moving stock or stock that is below buffer requirements.
– analyse any stock failings such as sales order shortages and issue reports aimed at achieving future avoidance of such stock issues.
– Work jointly with Site Accountant and Warehouse Manager to carry out accurate and meaningful monthly and annual stock takes.

Having prior experience as a Stock Controller is vital but most important of all is that you are the type of person who has the determination, enthusiasm, commercial awareness, attention to detail and professional approach that ensures highly efficient and continuous improvement of stock management and that stock holding is in line with KPI’s.
Confident and highly communicative, you should also have good IT awareness and be comfortable with the usage, analysis and interpretation of data. Experience of ERP systems highly beneficial.
