Estimator Team Leader

Salary: £26,000 per year

Key Responsibilities

* Responsible for managing the team of Estimators across JLA Fire & Security who quote for remedial works from PMV and reactive jobs, collating information from new enquiries in regard to system design and operation, specifying products and labour costs to fulfil intended design to drive revenue potential
* Set clear targets for the team and monitor daily performance and activity
* The Team Leader will have excellent communication skills, sound commercial awareness as well as a flexible approach to working.
* Follow up quotations with the team and ensure the purchase order process is followed
* Close liaison with the Client to ensure that their expectations are met, consultation with fire designers to ensure compliance and long-term performance of systems is achieved.
* Advising on relevant regulations, guidelines and industry best practice
* Supporting the Service Desk Team Leaders to manage ‘parts to fit’ and ‘awaiting parts’ to ensure quotes are fulfilled in an agreed time
* Managing queries by telephone in line with service standard levels.
* Liaising with procurement and stores team to obtain costs and delivery timelines
* Responsible for Estimation, including validation and follow up
* Awareness of various systems which may include SAGE, Visio, CAD 2D/3D, Schematics AOV Wiring Diagram

* Demonstrate an understanding of what service delivery excellence is for your role, ensuring you deliver the basics right every time and lead a team where service is central to good performance.

Managing Risk
* Awareness of your operational and regulation risks which may impact on your operations.
* Responsibility for reporting to your line manager any risk which may impact the business
Managing Health & Safety
* Conduct any Risk Assessments and Method Statements, compiling reports in line with H&S requirements
* Liaising with the Head of Compliance to ensure any compliance as part of your role is in line with the framework set.

Qualifications, Skills and Experiences

Essential

* IT understanding excel, Microsoft etc.
* Competent knowledge and training with the relevant BS/EN standards for fire and security systems that JLA estimate, design, install and commission
* Commercial responsibility for fire & remedial quotes
* Used to working in a target driven environment
* Able to work in a fast paced environment.
* Excellent communication skills
* Attention to detail
* Good team working skills
