Administrator (Customer Service & Sales)

Salary: £26,000 – £27,600 per year

The hiring company are importers and wholesalers of Wine, Champagnes and Gin. An exciting opportunity has arisen within the company for a Customers Service & Sales Administrator; we are looking to fill a full time permanent positon as soon as possible.

Job Description

The successful candidate will be someone who is hardworking, enthusiastic and reliable. You should be a good communicator and able to work as part of a team, willing to learn and able to use your own initiative. An interest in wine is always beneficial.

Previous experience working within an office environment is advantageous. Working knowledge of Microsoft office packages is essential as this is required for production of point of sale materials.

This role will include all aspects of administration and logistics including:-

• Sales order processing with direct customer contact using the in-house computer system (Merlin).

• Organising delivery schedules of company vehicles and third party couriers.

• Invoicing and despatch of delivery runs.

• Wine list production and other point of sales materials using Word based packages.

• Reception and handling telephone enquiries from both customers and suppliers.

• Office administration including word processing, invoice filing and archiving, client order form and wine list production.

• Assist accounts in credit control administration where required.

Further Details:-

Contracted 38.75 hrs per week (Monday to Friday 8.45am to 5pm)

Applicants must be over 18 due to the nature of the business – Alcohol Wholesaler.

Training will be given on the in-house computer system. 

An interest in wine is advantageous and training courses are also available; The Wine and Spirit Education Trust Level 2 certificate course is taught in-house as part of the training school service to clients.
