24/7 German Speaking Deputy Shift Leader

Our client is a market leading IT Security Company and part of one of the world’s largest organisations. Employees work across varying assignments and projects, and are at the cutting edge of technology. They are currently seeking a German speaking Security Deputy Shift Leader to join their dynamic and fast paced European Security Operations team on a full time permanent basis.

The Deputy Shift Leader will be responsible for working closely with the Shift Team Leader on a daily basis to ensure the service delivered meets the standards of excellence set by the business. You must have fluent German and English language skills. The team are available to clients 24/7 so the ideal candidate will need to be flexible and comfortable working an alternating 12 hour shift pattern.

Main responsibilities:

• Proactively supporting customers to achieve service excellence

• Review, resolve and close service requests/tickets and complete change requests

• Developing a rapport with customers to ensure long lasting relationships

• Adhering to escalation and call management processes and procedures

• Providing accurate and sufficiently detailed documentation of work performed

• Maintaining, improving and sharing knowledge utilizing in-house tools

• Providing constructive and positive input to the appraisal process

• Conducting case reviews and mentoring employees to develop greater service excellence

• Acting as a point of escalation in the absence of the shift team leader

• Working as part of a 24×7 shift rota, including days, nights, weekends and Bank Holidays

Experience/qualifications required:

• Fluency in German and English

• Previous Supervisory/Deputy Team Leader experience within a close knit team ideal

• Experience within a similar role within the IT Security Sector

• Knowledge of the following; Checkpoint, Juniper, F5, Bluecoat, Palo Alto, Cisco, Crossbeam, ISS, Sourcefire

• Excellent TCP/IP networking skills

• Knowledge on any of the following – Firewalls, Content Scanners/ Proxies or IDS systems

• Knowledge of Unix (Solaris, Linux, BSD) and/or Windows (2000, 2003, 2008)

• Excellent communication skills

• Excellent problem solving skills

This is a full time permanent position and is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic company at the forefront of their industry. The hours are 4 days on and 4 days off, shifts are 12 hours and are typically 7 until 7 with alternating day and night shifts every two weeks.
