Location: Macclesfield
Pay Rate: £36. Per Hour
Duration: 10/10/16 – 10/03/17 (5 Months)

Kinetic are currently recruiting for a Distribution Manager to work for a very well-established and global pharmaceutical manufacturer in the Macclesfield area.

THE ROLE
The position of Distribution Manager will be to ensure excellent distribution customer service for customers supplied from UK Operations, in order to maximize delivery performance and efficiency.
A primarily project based role, the key element is to understand the customer requirements and drive improvement in primary distribution, ensuring efficiency within the team and an optimised network.
The role also manages the operational interface with nominated Freight Forwarders and other 3rd party service providers; this includes mitigating against any risks during transportation and ensure we comply with GMP/GDP.

RESPONSIBILITIES
* Identify and drive improvements to deliver efficiencies in primary distribution from the UK to our customers
* Trend and use route cause analysis to investigate customer complaints and temperature non-compliance and implement improvements where applicable
* Manage Freight Forwarders and other 3rd party Sourcing & Supply service providers to ensure high levels for delivery and continuous improvement
* Problem solving and trending of internal/external issues in order to improve and prevent recurrence
* Own and manage Route Risk Assessments
* Maintain and demonstrate GMP/GDP compliance
* Maintain and demonstrate compliance with Sarbanes Oxley guidelines for all financial transactions from UK Operations
* Deliver continuous improvement in the distribution team through project based activities to improve compliance or cost efficiency’s
* Rotating shifts, 6am – 1:40pm and 1:30pm – 9:10pm

THE CANDIDATE
To be considered for the Distribution Manager position, you will have to have the following experience and qualifications.
* Educated to degree level or equivalent, or comparable experience.
* Operational knowledge of international distribution and warehousing
* Experience of working in a GDP and GMP environment
* Good knowledge of SAP (ICON)
* Understanding of supply processes in UK Ops
* Strong influencing, verbal and written communication skills
* Strong root cause skills and continuous improvement
* Understanding of Export Processes
