Workshop Engineer

Within the UK, Andrews Sykes Hire Ltd is the leading specialist in pumping and climate control solutions, hiring High Volume Pumps, Portable Air Conditioning Units, Temporary Heating Solutions, Chillers and Boilers to a broad customer base across a wide range of markets.

Working within the Northern Workshop –

• The Northern Workshop Engineer’s role is to repair and maintain our fleet of Diesel engine Water Pumps,
• The objective is to maximise equipment, reliability, availability and presentation to the standards set down by the Company in accordance with the published Workshop Procedures.
• The role is depot workshop based

Required Experience –

• Experience in the maintenance and repair of diesel engines, welding and electrical skills are an advantage
• Faulting finding
• Understanding of diesel engines and principles
• Working to timescales
• Ability to work in a logical and methodical way to ensure nothing is missed
• Ability to work unsupervised at times as well as work within a team environment
• Excellent Timekeeping Skills

Qualifications –

• The ideal candidate will come from either a time-served mechanical apprenticeship or City and Guilds/or equivalent qualification NVQ Mechanical Engineering or equivalent with work experience
• Electrical qualification an advantage
• Hydraulic Knowledge an advantage
